Je crois que jamais photos ne m’ont été aussi difficiles à partager.
D’abord, la pression d’être à la hauteur d’un tel voyage… Ensuite, car j’oscille entre secret jalousement gardé et fierté, avec humilité.
C’est, enfin, le point final d'un rêve. Celui d’un pays et d’un voyage fantasmé pendant de si longues années.
Découvrir la Namibie. Le nom est évocateur d’horizons infinis et d’odeur de sable chaud - celui qui fait crisser nos dents comme nos appareils.
C’est aussi de puissants et majestueux animaux qui nous laissent les admirer, qui forcent notre patience comme notre respect. Là où la nature sauvage nous rappelle à quel point elle est précieuse et en danger.
Ce voyage, c’est la redécouverte d’un continent admiré, d’une culture qui attire tel un aimant.
Une émotion partagée - entre rires et découverte de l’autre - avec des inconnus avec qui on se lie à jamais autour de ce désormais souvenir d’un moment de vie qui restera marqué dans nos entrailles.
Là où les dunes rencontrent l’océan. Là où la terre se fait rude. Namibie, merci de m’avoir laissé t’immortaliser dans mon coeur comme dans mes clichés.

I don't think pictures have ever been so difficult for me to share. First, the pressure to live up to such a journey…Then, because I oscillate between a jealously guarded secret and pride, with humility. It is, finally, the end point to a dream. The one of a country and a fantasized journey for so many years.
Discover Namibia. The name is evocative of endless horizons and the smell of hot sand - the kind that makes our teeth crunch like our cameras.
They are also powerful and majestic animals that let us admire them, who force our patience as well as our respect. Where wild nature reminds us how precious and endangered it is. This trip is the rediscovery of an admired continent, of a culture that dresses like a magnet. A shared emotion - between laughter and discovery of the other one - with strangers with whom we bond forever around this memory of a lifetime.
Where the dunes meet the ocean. Where the ground is rough. Namibia, thank you for letting me immortalize you in my heart as in my pictures.
